The Walk

Now more than ever, many of us are feeling pulled to do something—anything—to have our values and voices be heard. So we (Bob and Jim) decided to walk the talk, handing out t-shirts and cookies, sharing stories and finding our way with people we meet. Please join us (for a mile or a day), or track us down along the way and make sure we’re still upright.

The Message

What seems to matter the most to us are the relationships we have with family and friends, our faith journeys, and deeply held core values that keep reminding us of what is most important.

It comes down to: Be Kind. Do Good. We won’t be carrying political signs and will ask those who might join us for a segment of our walk to do the same (and wear the t-shirts)!

The Route

We’ll start off in Shoreline (just north of Seattle) and walk approximately 10 miles each day, arriving nine days later at the state capitol building in Olympia. Our destination each day will be the parking lot of a different faith community, where we’ll have time to meet and share stories with community members.
