Finished a nine day walk nine days ago,
Sharing cookies and kindness along the way,

We are so grateful for the blessings that were offered by all the faith communities along our way. We will not forget them.

We were feeling the energy that comes knowing that in just a few more miles we would be reconnecting with family and friends at the finish line!

We had an S-shaped route from Dupont to Lacey today, crossing over the I-5 freeway and onto the old Pacific Highway.

A nice cool morning to start day 7, with a few hardy walkers joining us!

Christ Lutheran in Lakewood was a welcome OASIS after our 11+ mile walk from Tacoma.

Day 5 wasn’t supposed to be our longest day but with a closed bridge and a couple of missed roads we ended up walking 15 miles!

An 8.5 mile day from the Beacon Hill area of Seattle to Burien.

The welcome at St. George Catholic Church at the end of Day 2 was over the top!

In a way, our Kindness Walk is inviting people to not only find their way with others but to “come home” to themselves.

What a warm welcome by the congregations of St. Peter and St. George Catholic churches when I spoke at the end of their church services yesterday.

Today’s my day to create tunics out of our t-shirts for our Muslim community members who wear traditional clothing.
