Warmly Welcomed…
The community at Temple Beth Am invited me to speak about the Kindness Walk last night. They are the faith community that is our destination on Day 1 and it felt so good to be welcomed so warmly by Rabbi Laura and the congregation.
Of course I brought a bag of freshly baked cookies with me, which seemed to disappear quickly as I met as many people as possible after the Shabbat service.
One person approached, took my hand, and thanked me so much for including a Jewish community as one of our destinations. I replied that it was important to Bob and me—and to our message—to uphold our shared humanity.
Another woman, perhaps in her 80s, pointed at my BeKind DoGood t-shirt and said “I want to wear that now!” How sweet is that?
