Day Three!

Wow! The kind folks at St. George Catholic Church made breakfast for us, then invited us to the morning mass, which included a special blessing for our Walk. We won’t forget these special people who even sent us on our way with drumbeats and lots of waving!

Then five of us made our way through the industrial area of south Seattle before climbing up the hills of Tukwila and on to Burien. Along the way we passed out cookies and t-shirts.

Shayk Yahya and other Muslim imams and brothers welcomed us so warmly to today’s destination: the Muslim American Youth Foundation, where we were treated to a delicious lunch and rich conversation.

Bob noticed that some of the younger boys were playing basketball in the gym and he immediately joined in, alone with Shayk Yahya! That prompted me to go get a bag of our cookies to share with all the boys and young men. Then photo time!

Surrounded by sweet people!

Every one of our moments with the folks in these different faith communities has been a gift, and we are so fortunate to experience that.
